Ammar founded Amwal AlKhaleej towards the end of 2004. Prior to that, Ammar held a number of senior management positions with Saudi banking institutions, including Head of Strategic Business Development at Banque Saudi Fransi and Country Head with Gulf International Bank.

Ammar also sits on a number of corporate boards of Amwal portfolio related companies, and other public companies such as Banque Saudi Fransi- Credit Agricole (Saudi Tadawul listed), Fawaz Al Hokair Group (Saudi Tadawul listed), Allianz Saudi Fransi (Chairman, Saudi Tadawul listed), Morgan Stanley Saudi Arabia (Chairman), and Arab Cotton Ginning (Egypt CASE listed).

Ammar earned both his Master’s degree in Engineering Administration and his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from The George Washington University in Washington D.C.

Fadi joined Amwal AlKhaleej in 2006 and has over 15 years of experience in the Saudi private equity and M&A industry.

Prior to Amwal AlKhaleej, Fadi was an Engagement Manager in the financial services practice of Booz Allen Hamilton serving clients in Europe and the Middle East. Fadi also worked as an associate at Citigroup’s Investment Banking division in London and for German Multinational Henkel in Paris.

Fadi serves on the boards and committees of various Amwal AlKhaleej portfolio companies including Body Masters, Umark, and Bamboo Finance, Switzerland, the largest global private equity company with a social investing mandate. Fadi serves on the Wharton School Executive Global Advisory Board and is a YPO member, Riyadh Chapter.

Fadi holds an MBA from the Wharton School double majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Analysis from Lancaster University, UK, and an M.S. in Management from the Nantes Graduate Business School in France. Fadi is fluent in English, French, Arabic and Italian, and has basic knowledge of Spanish.

Karim joined Amwal AlKhaleej in 2005 and has over 20 years of experience in the Egyptian private equity, investment banking, and capital markets industry

Prior to that Karim was the General Manager of Gulf Arab Investment Company, a Private Equity Investment Company based in Egypt. Karim has 10 years of banking experience between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, working with EAB, and United Saudi Bank, mostly in corporate banking, as well as corporate finance, and restructure/recovery of remedial accounts. Karim was also Finance Director at Kingdom Holding.

Karim serves on the boards of several Amwal portfolio companies including Arab Cotton Ginning (as well as on the boards of each of its majority owned subsidiaries), Contact Cars, EPPC, Samay Hills, as well as Gulf Arab Investment Company.

Karim holds an M.S. in Finance (U.K.), and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the American University in Cairo. He is also a CFA charter holder.

In this capacity, he managed and advised several consortiums in the areas of capital structuring, as well as debt and equity raising strategies for various projects in the telecom, oil, gas and petrochemicals sectors.

Serge holds an MBA with distinction from Ecole Superieure des Affaires / ESCP-EAP and completed his B.E. in Computer and Communication Engineering from the American University of Beirut.

Assaad joined Amwal AlKhaleej in 2007 and has over 12 years of experience in the Saudi private equity and M&A industry.

Prior to Amwal AlKhaleej, Assaad spent several years in the Transaction Advisory Department of Ernst & Young where he advised clients on valuations, financial due diligence, feasibility studies, and business plans covering various industries including manufacturing, banking, hospitality, healthcare, retail and power.

Assaad serves on boards and committees of several Amwal portfolio companies including Umark and Body Masters. He also served on boards and committees of Rowad Schools and Al Tayyar Travel Group.

Assaad holds a joint master’s degree MBA/Masters in Management from Ecole Superieure des Affaires / ESCP-EAP European Business School and a BS in Banking and Finance from the Lebanese American University. He is also a CFA charter holder.

HAITHAM AL-FORAIH

Haitham joined Amwal AlKhaleej in 2006 and has over 10 years of experience in the Saudi private equity and M&A industry.

Previous to his role at Amwal AlKhaleej, Haitham served an investment portfolio manager at A.K Al-Muhaidib & Sons Group, where he worked on mergers and acquisitions, with an industry focus on industrials, consumer products and financial services, as well as equity capital markets.

Haitham serves on boards and committees of several Amwal portfolio companies including Zohoor AlReef, Umark and Gulf Insulation Group. He also served on boards and committees of Rowad Schools and Al Tayyar Travel Group

Prior to that, Noha was Head of Investments at Gulf Arab Investment Company, a $75 million private equity investment company based in Egypt.  Noha also worked at Sigma Capital’s Investment Banking division, and before that the Arab Investment Company, one of EFG – Hermes’ first private equity companies.

Noha serves on the Board of Directors of Modern Nile Cotton Co, and Egyptian Spinning & Weaving Co. Noha also sat on the Board of Contact Cars prior to Amwal’s exiting of the investment.

Noha holds an MBA in Finance & Investment (UK) and a B.A. in Political Science from the American University in Cairo. She is also a CFA charter holder.

Samer joined Amwal AlKhaleej in 2008 and has over 15 years of experience in the UAE private equity and M&A industry.

Prior to Amwal AlKhaleej Samer was a Senior Associate at Lehman Brothers, based in its London office as part of the Investment Banking M&A team within its Natural Resources Group advising global oil and mining companies on M&A situations. He was also part of the real estate team responsible for originating and structuring of commercial mortgage backed securities. Prior to joining Lehman, Samer was a civil engineer with Bouygues Batiment in France and Tahiti.

Samer serves on the boards and committees of various Amwal AlKhaleej portfolio companies including Right Angle Media and Dubai Contracting Company, and previously served on the board of KSAM2 prior to its disposal. Samer also serves on the Board of Directors of United World College Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific (a non for profit secondary school).

Samer holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, double majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship, and he has a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from McGill University, majoring in Structural Engineering.

Prior to that Ibrahim was a Senior Consultant in the Transaction Services Department (Deals) in PwC, Riyadh. His work experience included financial and commercial due diligence, valuations and feasibility studies.

Ibrahim holds a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University where he majored in finance and minored in accounting.
